Outreach Activities

Family Dinner at the Children’s Inn at NIH

Volunteering at the Children’s Inn is always a rewarding experience. These dinners mean a lot to the families/children undergoing medical treatment at NIH. After long travels, families are often tired and ready for a home-cooked meal. the Inn invites different groups and organizations to provide a large meal for all the families. These meals allow families to relax while alleviating the worries of transportation, grocery shopping, and the hassle of preparing a meal after a long day of traveling and appointments. Giving the children a reason to smile and forget about the struggles they are going through is the least we can do. Not to mention, Mexican food is always a hit!

Nourish Now Thanksgiving Dinner

Partnering with our friends at Nourish Now has truly been a blast and there is no better time to give back than around the holidays! It was our second year helping host a Thanksgiving dinner for those in need, and it was a great feeling knowing families will be able to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal without stress. Whether it was in the kitchen preparing the dinner spread or filling bags with food items for the families to pick up, we all had a terrific time helping those less fortunate.

JDRF Real Estate Games

The JDRF Real Estate Games are always an event to remember. The event brings together the DC area’s CRE industry for a day of Olympic-style competition. At this grown-up field day, we go head-to-head with worthy competitors from our industry in the name of finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

Montgomery County Park Clean ups

HBW loves partnering with our good friends over at Montgomery Parks to help keep our parks clean. Each season, a team of volunteers determines which parks require the most attention and get right to work. There is no better way to bring in a new season than cleaning up one of our local parks!

Stepping Stones Shelter

Stepping Stones Shelter is right in our backyard! Stepping Stones exterior needed a major facelift. So we tackled a worn-out back porch that needed sanding and a new paint job, as well as a landscaping makeover. It was hard work but worth every ounce of sweat! A big thanks to this fantastic team for their generous efforts and support.
