History
When Hartman, Briddell, Watkins Properties, Inc, was founded in 1969, the initial focus was the development and maintenance of commercial properties with a simple mission: to deliver highly personalized service and to build trusted relationships.
Today HBW, spearheaded by the next generation of talented leadership, is a full-service commercial construction firm. Our core mission remains unchanged. It is still our goal to use our expertise to deliver the best result for every client — to sweat every detail on every job — and exceed client expectations every single time.
Sustainability
At HBW, we embrace the importance of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Sustainable Construction and Green Building.
As a full-service Green Builder and member of the U.S. Green Building Council, we ensure owners enjoy the quality and efficiency they expect in their new LEED building. We include affordable, sustainable building materials in all estimates. Our in-house LEED-accredited personnel are fully trained in the LEED Green Building Rating System and all LEED requirements. We will do everything in our power to make sure your building attains the points needed to achieve your desired LEED certification, whether it’s Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
Community Outreach
HBW and its people are part of the local community. We’re committed to strengthening local communities throughout the region. Since 2014, HBW has developed several Giving Back Initiatives to assist neighbors in need.
We have high standards for our community outreach initiatives. We purposefully invest in the areas where we work and live through acts of service and donations. Our HBW team volunteers their time, even during lunch or after hours, contributing to various projects throughout the year and providing needed supplies. The ask and the tasks may vary, but the impact is always local.

A team of volunteers welcome each new season with a clean up at our local parks!
Stepping Stones Shelter
HBW supports our neighbor, Stepping Stones Shelter, in many ways, from holiday drives to fulfilling their “urgent needs” list. Recent projects allowed our team to flex their field skills for an exterior facelift, refreshing the building’s large deck and providing a landscaping makeover.
Children’s Inn
To support our communities, HBW has also collected food and school supplies, and served dinner to families at the Children’s Inn.

Raising funds for diabetes research with the JDFR Real Estate Games, an Olympic-style competition.
