Busboys & Poets – Brookland
Busboys and Poets is a community gathering place – a place to take a deliberate pause and feed your mind, body, and soul – a space for art, culture, and politics to intentionally collide. Their hope in creating such a space is that they can inspire social change and begin to transform the community and the world. The owner wanted his tribal statement to be reflected in the construction of his restaurant. The unique design included a restaurant area, bookstore, and open mic stage. Local art is featured throughout the restaurant to show its roots within the community.
