Transformation of an existing shell space into a modern ALDI grocery store.
ALDI – Gaithersburg
The project involved the comprehensive renovation of an existing shell space to establish a new Aldi grocery store. The scope of work included installing new HVAC systems and electrical services, as well as constructing walk-in coolers and freezers, checkout lanes, an entry vestibule, an employee lounge, restrooms, and a manager’s office.
Our team coordinated seamlessly with the Owner’s vendors, managing various aspects such as refrigeration, low voltage systems, security, fire alarms, signage, and commissioning contractors.
A standout feature of this project was the construction of a new front entrance tower with a cart corral. This process involved the demolition of the existing structure, followed by shoring and the installation of new structural steel and masonry walls. Additionally, we added concrete curbs and sidewalks, Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS), metal panels, and Hardie board siding to complete the entrance’s modern look.
