• Construction included coordination with multiple outside vendors such as kitchen equipment vendor, coffee machine vendors, POS system vendor, and low voltage vendor

• Montgomery County liquor store transformation from a two space occupancy to the one interior fit-out now known as Oak Barrel & Vine
• This 5,364 sq ft retail space includes a mesmerizing wood wine library and a sit-down tasting area with a chilled bar tap system, two restrooms, outdoor and indoor signage, and a brand new welcoming storefront
• Coordination of fine finishes and strong attention to detail was a must with all of the beautifully designed selections to bring this project to life

• Busboys & Poets restaurant consists of 10,000 sq. ft. interior space seating approximately 700 people
• The space features a performance/event room, private dining room, bookstore, and a heated 2nd-floor terrace level overlooking Color Burst Park at Merriweather Art District
• Each floor has its own full-service kitchen and bar area, a public elevator, and a dumbwaiter lift for easy access to their staff
• Both levels have numerous garage doors and operable windows that integrate outdoor furniture and dining areas

• Full demolition of the 10th floor with new MEP, partitions & finishes
• Concrete trenching and infill for floor power due to 12” thick slab
• Purchase and install high-end finishes such as “Porcelain tile from Italy, Carvart Annealed Glass with Custom Stainless Steel Surrounds, Mannington Carpet Area Rugs & Certainteed Techstyle Walnut Ceiling”

• Complete demolition and renovation of an Eagle Bank Branch in Bethesda, Maryland
• New finishes to include ceramic flooring, new carpet, and specialty light fixtures
• Extensive millwork package with custom reception desk and column panels
• Large offices and conference room were installed with glass partitions to increase the flow of light throughout the space

• Unique restaurant build-out within a historic building from the 1940s
• Includes a restaurant area, kitchen, bar, bookstore, and open mic stage
• Design-Build approach with Owner
• Communication was key to finishing the project on time and on budget

• Spa build out on the ground floor of an existing six-story office building
• Renovation included Reception, Manicure & Pedicure Areas, Hair Styling & Shampoo Stations, Treatment Rooms, and a Staff Pantry
• Close coordination was required with the Landlord for access to adjacent retail and office space to run MEP components
• Worked with the tenant’s specialty Spa Millwork Contractor to ensure all tenant provided and GC provided millwork matched appropriately and was built to the actual project dimensions

With Anne Mahlum’s (founder, owner, and CEO) vision in mind – HBW created a space to reflect her workout culture. The intimate work out space is plastered with words of encouragement – seen on the walls when you are in a lunge to the floor when you’re holding a five minute plank. Not a detail was left unturned in the unique build out of each studio.
