Budgets & Estimating

During the design and development project phase, the Project Manager works with our Estimating Department to develop a conceptual budget using historical cost data and subcontractor input. This budget acts as a starting point and assists our clients in clarifying design parameters. HBW also uses this information to assess constructability issues.

We then analyze the project scope and identify potential alternative methods and/or materials so we can provide cost reduction alternatives for client consideration. Once methods and materials are finalized, our staff collaborates with the client, architect and other project team members to develop firm pricing. From there, the lump sum contract is established and the schedule is finalized.
